Law Faculty Expansion, University of Barcelona

Public-private partnership agreement for the construction, conservation and maintenance of the 1st phase of the new law faculty building in the University of Barcelona and the envisaged energy interconnection facilities with the rest of the faculty.

The new building will consist of four blocks, each with four stories and a basement and it is envisaged that it will be completed for the 2017-2018 academic year. The new building with an approximate surface area of 15,000 m2, among other facilities, will have twenty small rooms for group work, a mediation room, a mock trial room, around 150 offices for professors, fourteen large lecture halls, four IT rooms, twelve meeting rooms, six working rooms, four offices for student associations and a faculty lounge. There will also be archive spaces, an audiovisual service and a student canteen. In total, the project will cost 44 million euros and comprises the construction of the building and the provision of the conservation and maintenance service for 10 years.
